BRIT AXTON
Brit Axton is a 17-year-old who will not take no for an answer. She’s a tenacious amateur news reporter and sleuth who lives in a Phoenix suburb. Book one of the Brit Axton series is Gold Rush. In this adventure, Brit’s grandmother tells her about a nearly forgotten promise from an eccentric friend decades earlier that includes the assurance of a treasure. Such a treasure would be very welcome at such a critical time.
When her grandmother recalls the long forgotten valuable gift to the family 40 years earlier, Brit launches into a fast-paced race to claim it, only to find that she and her friends are barely a step ahead of shadowy underworld figures, who will stop at nothing to get to the prize first. She is surprised by the lengths these people go to in their efforts to beat her to the ‘treasure,’ and utilizes all of the tools, skills and wisdom available to her to protect herself and her friends, right up until the final standoff in an abandoned gold mine. visit the Brit Axton website
